About

Life is a series of transitions. Whether you're a young adult, a new parent, or post-retirement, change can feel difficult and overwhelming at times. Seeking help is the best thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones when you face life's challenges. As a clinical psychologist, I believe that lasting meaningful change is always possible. I use evidenced based cognitive behavioral therapies to enable you to make changes in your thinking and behaviors so that you can enjoy your life to its fullest. Together we can work to identity how making small changes in your thinking and behavior can make significant and lasting effects on both your physical and mental health. My therapeutic style is attentive, empathic, collaborative and solution-focused. I have worked with people of all ages to help improve their moods, deal with life transitions or learn new ways to cope with problems we all confront in life. And I try to practice what I teach by making time in my own life for self-care. I enjoy cooking, the outdoors, and animals of all shapes and sizes, especially my 2 yellow Labrador retrievers. I received my BA in Psychology and MA in Education from Columbia University. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John's University and performed both my pre and post doctoral training in Health Psychology at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. I have been a licensed psychologist in Connecticut since 1997 and also maintain a license in New York State. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to enjoy your life to its fullest.
